Toyota Warehouse

Industrial / Warehouse Lighting Control
Hero background

The Toyota Warehouse Project exemplifies how S4i brings together advanced lighting control, networking, and integration into one powerful platform. Designed for large-scale industrial environments, the system was delivered as a ready-to-use turnkey solution combining hardware, connectivity, and software under a single unified architecture.

A Fully Integrated Lighting & Network Ecosystem

At the heart of the installation lies the S4i Integration Broker (IB) — a scalable control and communication platform designed to connect multiple lighting and automation protocols without reliance on the cloud.

The system features an S4i IB Host License (Unlimited Integrations) and Host IPC Class 2 industrial computer, ensuring high-speed performance and local resilience with 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD storage.

This backbone supports a comprehensive network of industrial-grade components, including 4/5G connectivity, 8-port network switches, and Ethernet-to-USB extenders, engineered to ensure robust data flow, redundancy, and reliability across the site.

Wireless Lighting Integration with Casambi

To enable flexible and scalable control, S4i deployed ten S4i USB Casambi Gateways, each supporting up to 250 nodes across the facility. Connected via BLE 5.0 antennas and extended using 1 m RP/SMA cables, these gateways establish a high-performance Bluetooth mesh network, integrating seamlessly with Casambi-enabled luminaires and sensors throughout the warehouse.

This resulted in a fully wireless lighting control layer delivering smart automation, scene control, and energy efficiency without the need for traditional cabling or complex protocol conversions.

Seamless Software & Remote Management

The system is complemented by a Mac Host for Casambi remote access and an S4i annual remote access pass, enabling secure, unlimited site connectivity for ongoing monitoring, updates, and maintenance.

From a central dashboard, operators can manage devices, review performance, and implement system adjustments instantly ensuring the Toyota facility remains future-ready and operationally efficient.

Design, Testing & Commissioning

S4i provided complete commissioning services, including: network setup, configuration, and validation. Each component was pre-tested, mapped, and optimised to deliver seamless interoperability between the wired and wireless layers.

The Toyota Warehouse now operates on a fully integrated S4i infrastructure, purpose-built for scalability, remote management, and long-term sustainability.
